What a difference a year makes!  Just when we thought things in the market were getting worse (Dec 2022), they snapped back.  What explains the performance of 2023?  What’s taking the recession so long?  Will the Fed cut next year?  Andrew Reilly will share with us Principal Global Investors’ view on the economy and investment landscape for 2024.  What are the expectations for growth, inflation, policy in the U.S. and overseas?  What’s going on with housing?  How will the election affect things next year?  What are the key risks to watch out for in 2024?

Andrew Reilly, Market Director at Principal Asset Management, represents Principal to the advisor community in Southern California, Southern Nevada, and Arizona. Andrew graduated summa cum laude from Trinity College, Hartford, and started in the investment industry in 1998. He holds the CIMA®,  CEPA®, and AIF® designations, and previously served as a Regional Manager for Lord Abbett & Co.  Andrew’s volunteer work includes leading chapel at RJ Donovan state prison, coaching at JH Outback California, and serving on the board of the Rescue Institute. The goal of this AAII-SIG is to familiarize members with a range of investment approaches and strategies.  We study the Fundamentals of a specific industry, sector or individual stock, then finally apply technical tools. With focus on Dividend Paying Stocks, we work to enhance our returns using options for premium income as well. Members are encouraged to participate.
