Speaker Biography
John O'Keefe is a highly seasoned senior executive with primary experience in all facets of the energy business. He is an accomplished veteran of running public companies in the US, Canada, and the UK with experience in many parts of the world. O'Keefe sits on the boards of two private corporations as well as being the Vice Chair of the Harvard Business School Club of Houston and is President of the AAII, the American Association of Individual Investors.
During his career, O'Keefe has played key roles in $13.6 billion of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, spin-offs, and stock buybacks. He also successfully accessed the capital markets, working with operating and technical people at all levels to create shareholder value. He has played key roles in raising $4.3B of equity and issued $4.2B of debt and convertibles in his career.
