    THEME:

    MLPs can add sector-specific exposure to a fast growing energy infrastructure sector combined with attractive cash flow returns

    WHAT YOU WILL LEARN:

    MLPs are pass-through entities, which can contribute to their tax efficiency

    MLPs that operate in midstream energy (e.g., pipelines) can generate steady, fee-based revenue

    Most of MLP returns are treated as return of capital   

    MLPs can have complex tax reporting

    Examples of MLP's and Midstream "C" Corps.

    SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES:

    PRESENTER: William Gregg: After an initial career in banking, William pivoted  to a career as a successful intellectual property entrepreneur.  He is currently self-employed as a product developer, licensing over 20 products to companies in several different industries and market channels.  Studying cash flow producing investment vehicles like MLPs is a passion project and a long-term hobby for William, where he has accumulated financial expertise over the years that he enjoys sharing in our forums.  

    Our live presenter for the first part of the meeting topic will be Gilbert Ho. Gilbert will provide his monthly chart presentation for the economy and financial markets.

    PRESENTER: Gilbert Ho is a lifetime member of AAII and co-host of AAII Silicon Valley Computerized Investing SIG.

    He is a retired software engineer with development and management experience at various startups and large companies. He is passionate in learning macroeconomics and investing strategies.

    Gilbert has a MS in Computer Science and a BS in Electrical Engineering.
