If employed properly a list of stock which is thoroughly vetted on its merits on value and technicals can serve a great many members a great deal.
however my experience with the model portfolio is disappointing to say the least.
let us take the case of the latest addition LSEA.
it was added on december 16th and since it has gone down another 5 percent. it is down 50 percent in a year.
meager profit margin, high debt and very high ev to ebitda ratio.
neither a value investor nor a technical trader will touch that with a seven foot pole.
how does it get in? how do we prevent such stock getting in? is the screening process valid and vetted?
i would like to hear your opinion and similar experiences in the past.
