The rise of online platforms has made global investing more accessible than ever. You can now trade international stocks and ETFs with just a few clicks, while AI tools help predict trends in foreign markets.

But as powerful as these tools are, they don't always account for the full picture, like political risks, cultural nuances, or the unpredictable nature of global events. Technology can be a great ally, but it can't replace the importance of human judgment.

My question for the group is: How has technology changed your approach to global investing? Do you trust AI and tech tools to handle the complexities of geopolitical risks, or do you still rely on traditional methods and personal insights?

We want to hear from you! Share your experiences and thoughts on how you're navigating the global market in today's tech-driven world.

"Technology can be a great ally, but it can't replace the importance of human judgment." Very well put, and 100% true, Jenna!!

I use my computer and the internet to find useful information, but I have not seen the need to directly use AI tools yet. I've read articles about the things AI can do, but in the investment realm, most of the recommended uses are not relevant to my buy-and-hold methods. I would not trust AI to provide reliable information summaries. Inherent biases are programmed into AI, and I think those biases restrict its utility. What AI thinks is important and what I think is important are likely to be different.

As for global investing, I own a few foreign stocks, but in general, U.S. companies offer the best long-term prospects. "Despite our citizens' penchant - almost enthusiasm - for self-criticism and self-doubt, I have yet to see a time when it made sense to make a long-term bet against America." (Warren Buffett in his 2022 Shareholder Letter)

My thinking is entirely consistent with Robert Adams except that I have been intentionally incrementally increasing investment in foreign company stocks. That worked well for me two or three decades ago and I'd pulled back until last fall. I try to use multiple news sources and do not trust AI.
