Even a quick study of long-term market cycles will clearly demonstrate that equity bull markets and commodity bull markets rarely coincide other than a minor overlap at the beginning and end. Today, many commodity names have taken the spotlight while equities appear to have stalled. Is this temporary? Is it a warning? Is it a change in trend? Come examine the evidence with me. I first began teaching about these cycles over 25 years ago, and what I have learned since then makes the current situation even more interesting.
