Rochester has always been a vibrant commercial center, beginning in its days as the country's first Boom Town. Textiles came on strong in the late 1800's, followed by Mr. George Eastman and his Eastman Kodak Company - the "Apple Company" of its day. Over the years, Xerox, Bausch & Lomb, Paychex, Constellation Brands and a host other successful companies grew up and out from the city. Times change and Rochester adapts.
