I was very hesitant to buy Bitcoin directly or through an exchange, but when the first Bitcoin ETFs came out, I nibbled on three of them. They're all up nicely (80-150%), although I haven't bet the ranch on any of them. They're more of a novelty than an investment. However, if in the next 10 years Bitcoin sees anywhere near the gains it had in its first 10 years, my little investments will grow to eight figures!
As for private equity, back in April, I opened an account with NASDAQ Private Market because I was interested in a company that had not yet gone public. I was hoping to be able to access financial data and other information about it there. I was sorely disappointed. It looks like a crap shoot unless you somehow find another way to access information on pre-public companies. I recently closed the account.
